以下的大綱概括得連自己也咋舌
希望幫得到各位組仔組女吧:

1. Describe the tragic vision regarding characteristics modern societies and their future
combining the comparison between 20th and 21st Century, by the sociologists' ontology.
D: The change of the form of society, best describes as the increasing complexity of the divsion of labor, from mechanical to orgainc one, results in extreme impersonality and anomie as the religious
institutions are losing their influence, owing to the rise of science. Such change also lead to the
breakdown of collective consciousness and moral order.
W: The rise of science has led to two processes: rationalization/ disenchantment and bureaucratization of society. On one hand the influence of religion has diminished and
thus various kinds of values compete their influence, resembles a war of gods. On the other hand
people are bounded in their respective bureaucrcacies and found their job monotonous and meaningless, just like an iron cage. The change in authority from traditional, charismatic to bureaucratic worsens the situation.
M: His tragic vision mainly comprised of the evils of a capitalist societies, such as
exploitation by capitalists, different dimensions of alienation of workers, resulting in
the polarization of societies that leads to chaos and disorders.

Certainty --> Uncertainty, Postmodern
Wr: Enchantment --> rationslization, disenchantment
Charismatic --> Bureaucratic

M: Feudalistic society --> Capitalist Societies

3. Applicability of their Sociological Vision
D:
- The analysis of the revolutionary change in forms of solidarity in the context of HK
- The thoeries about Anomie, explaining many social problems existing in HK
- The importance of collective consciousness, reconstructing moral values, moral order
as a way out in modern societies.
W:
- His ideas upon Vocations, finding meanings and values for one's action, Re-enchantment
as a way out to the iron cage society
- His classification in the 3 types of Authority, in relation to the recent crisis in HK Govt,
i.e. a lack of a charismatic leader and the revival of traditional authority in HKSAR Govt accounting
for the crisis and scandals throughout the 7 years
- His theory of the war of gods (the competition of different conflicting values) and its suitability in
describing the situation in HK (e.g. Maximizing profits vs environmental protection? )
M: - The various critque of the capitalist society as a rethink upon individuals in HK
